This website stores no information on your device and reads none from it — no cookies, no equivalent techniques. Consent under § 25(1) TDDDG (the German provision carrying the ePrivacy consent rule) is therefore not required, which is why there is no banner to dismiss.

We use no analytics or audience-measurement services, embed no third-party fonts, maps, videos or social-media elements, and transfer no data to third countries. When you open these pages your browser contacts our own server and nothing else.

This website keeps no access log. The web server writes a request line only where that is explicitly configured, and here it is not configured. The data your browser transmits — your IP address, the address requested, the browser identification — is processed for the duration of delivering the page and then discarded. It is not stored, not combined into profiles, not linked with other data sets and not used for advertising.

What the server does record are operational messages: errors and events of the encrypted connection. Such a message can contain an IP address when something goes wrong. It sits in the message stream of the running server process and goes with that process at the next software update; we read it only while investigating a fault.

Purpose: delivering the page, operational security, detecting and repelling attacks and faults, troubleshooting.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and undisturbed operation of this website.

This website has no contact form. If you write to us we process your email address, your name and the content of your message in order to answer it.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the matter concerns a contract or steps prior to one, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our interest in answering enquiries).
Retention: until your enquiry has been dealt with; we then delete the correspondence unless a statutory retention period applies. Commercial letters are subject to the German commercial and tax retention periods.

This website is operated for us by Hetzner Online GmbH, a German limited-liability company seated in Gunzenhausen, Germany. That provider processes the data above solely on our behalf and on our instructions, under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The processing takes place in the European Union.

There are no other recipients. We pass no data on for advertising purposes and we sell no data.

You have the right to

• access — whether and which data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

An informal message to contact@marceline.studio is enough. We answer within one month (Art. 12(3) GDPR).

Right to object

You have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to processing of data concerning you that we base on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — on this website that is the server's operational messages and the answering of enquiries (Art. 21(1) GDPR). We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Complaint to a supervisory authority

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority at any time (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority competent for us is:
